Review of Dirty Harry (1971) by Declan B — 03 Oct 2011
"You've got to ask yourself a question: 'do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?".
A classic line that has been used and re-used, spoofed and re-spoofed and it is also the line that made Clint Eastwood a superstar. Clint Eastwood is at his best in this film, fully embodying the role of Harry 'Dirty Harry' Callahan. He has the ability to make a film memorable, he can dazzle where others can't and that's probably why he was the perfect choice for this film. Aside from Clint Eastwood's stardom, this film was fun to watch, tense in places and thus I would label it a 'classic crime thriller'.
