Review of Dirty Harry (1971) by Luke E — 10 Jul 2012
My faourite cop movie of all time, Clint Eastwood has never been better. This is the first (and best) of the Dirty Harry Series, and must of had a huge impact on future action flms alike. Inspector Harry Callahan is given the nicknamed 'Dirty Harry' because he does all the dirty work a police officer has to do to enforce the law and get things done in and around San Francisco.
He's an arrogant, viscious, hard bastard who'll always take on the toughest crims at point blank range with a trust 44 Magnum, "You've got to ask yourself a question: 'do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?".
This film inspired by San Fransisco's Zodiac Murders pitches Harry up against a serial killer; Sorpio whose hard to catch, but Harry can take on murder with everything he's got. Its Thanks to the many collaborations that Eastwood had with Don Siegel that makes this such a cult classic.
Everyone should give this one a chance to behold.
