Review of Dirty Harry (1971) by Samuel B — 14 Jul 2013
This was a fun movie to watch, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Clint Eastwood kick ass. I felt uninterested during slow scenes, but those were few and far between. The real meat of this movie is seeing the struggle between Dirty Harry and the lawmen, along with the psychopathic villain, Scorpio.
Unfortunately, Scorpio, to me, didn't live up to the expectations of the ideal villain, and I didn't consider him a formidable opponent to Eastwood's character. However, like I said before, the real meat of the movie is the struggle between Harry Callahan and the law.
I was very interested in seeing how these interactions played out, especially when it came to stopping the villain. For the cop movie (cop-corn flicks) lovers among us, this is a must see. I still strongly recommend it for anyone else.
