Even if Zac Efron and the other supporting players help carry a pretty decent premise, Dirty Grandpa also somewhat falters for having to deal with a wrongfully (in a bad way) mis-casted performance by Robert DeNiro. In fact, I would say it's a new low for him for what could have been a nice change of pace for this likable actor.
