Review of Dirty Grandpa (2016) by Alvin Y — 16 Apr 2016

It would been better if it would've been called Dirty movie or dirty direction or dirty script. All in all its a bad and dirty flick. De Niro, is a veteran actor, multiple Academy Award winner, his last best performance was in 1995 Heat, and also recently last year's The Intern.

Now, he seems to be out of nowhere here, this is not the De Niro that I knew and admire before. Efron is that kind of cool guy turns to not so cool guy, with movies that are even not so great that I thought of.

All they had done throughout the film is to have fun and play with some girls without any ideas or plans whatsoever. I really don't think the concept of Dirty Grandpa is a challenging one, it's a tough one and a very insensitive obscene and crude sexually graphic insane film.

I didn't even care about the ending where as you may predict it, Efron's character will thanked his grandpa for what he did to him. In the outside that looks like a very touching and inspiring idea but inside it feels boiled down to 10 to zero.
