Dirty Grandpa has some funny one liners, particularly from De Niro, who at times is hilarious. He really masters the art of delivering a line. The soundtrack is good but the characters inhabiting this strange film are all exaggerated, apart from a small minority, so they do not feel like real people.
Zac Efron does an ok job but he isn't given much as the director makes his character a control freak so you don't often see him unwind and when he does it is ridiculously over the top.
