Review of Dirty Grandpa (2016) by Anthony D — 18 Nov 2016
This is definitely not the best comedy out there but it was ok, sure isn't as bad as most critics and reviews suggest. I actually got several laughs from this one (unlike Zoolander & mr. Right that I recently watched) - which doesnt happen much.
Robert de Nero as Dick the dirty grandpa and Zac Efron as Jason the c?ck bl?cking terminater worked so well together. It was strange to see Zac play the role of the more serious engaged guy who wasn't into the drinking & goofing off.
Robert was so funny in parts and I really enjoyed that- I thought he was perfect for the part. The story is about the grandpa who's wife just passed & he talks his grandson into going on a trip with him to play golf but that first morning the trip takes a turn from the expected layed back norm to gramps a little wild & crazy.
Some of my favorite scenes was the store at Daytona Beach with the shirts & stickers- the way he read those lines just made me crack up, I think Zac had a hard time with that one bc the way he said his lines back.
Also the fuzzy bee.. oh my that was just hilarious. I think that some of the romance could have been left out, like the whole thing with him falling for another girl even though he didn't even know what he wanted before- they could have just played her as him realizing that there's more out in the world - it just didn't work for me.
It's decent, I watched it twice, obviously not for everybody- there's only a few people that I would actually recommend watching this. In this there's alot of sexual talk & lots of vulgar language plus half naked ppl walking around & a c?ck shot so if you don't want to see that kind of stuff just skip it.
Remember this is called"DIRTY Grandpa" so it warns of the dirtyness.
