Review of Dirty Dancing (1987) by Ryan V — 01 May 2012
Baby (Jennifer Grey) is a wealthy teenager who is summering at a posh resort in the Catskills. She runs into Johnny (Patrick Swayze), a sexy prole with a vast knowledge of grooving dance moves. Naturally, they fall in love while Johnny teaches Baby all about the sultry boogie.
And, just as naturally, culture clashes and social conformity stand in the way of this love. Dirty Dancing is a sappy chick flick with an unnerving subplot about abortion, but it's a much better flick than most of the other movies your girlfriend is going to force you to watch with her.
