Review of Dirty Dancing (1987) by Olivia C — 12 Jun 2013
This movie was one of those movies that you are on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. Even though this movie is an oldie, it is still one of the best movies out there.
This is one of my favorite movie because I think the maker of the movie did an amazing job creating the characters and the conflict. It was well acted also, so props to Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey. Baby and Johnny relationship was played out so well. It was almost like it was real life. It is like any other real life relationship. It has its ups and downs and good times and not so good times. The movie was well put together from when Baby Met Johnny all the way to their final dance. I don't think this movie would have been as good if the characters were different, or even if the actors were different.
Another reason why this is one of the best movies out there is because the plot actually made sense unlike other movies. For example, the movie Cosmopolis made no sense whatsoever. You can tell that the maker of the movie didn't put as much effort into the movie as the maker of Dirty Dancing did. Every thing in Dirty dancing flowed as if it was meant to be.
A third reason is because everyone loves a summer romance movie. I think the creator did a great job of picking the type of movie. If the movie had anything different, from the setting to the types of flowers, the movie just wouldn't be the same as the good, old Dirty Dancing that we all know and love.
Overall, I think everyone who was a part of the movie did a great job in creating one of the world's best movies of all time.
