Review of Dirty Dancing (1987) by Bethany E — 16 Mar 2015
First of all I think this Movie should have at least a 98% rating but what can you do. The Film takes place in 1963 and it is about a Teenager named Baby who is played by the amazingly talanted Jennifer Grey and she goes to some kind of Dancing Camp over the Summer and unfortunately she can't Dance.
However things change for Baby when she meets a Dance Teacher named Johnny played by Patrick Swayze and he helps her with her Dance skills to perform in the show at the end of the Camp. Probably the two things I loved most about this Movie was it's great Soundtrack and Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey's Performances.
They had a really good partnership and relationship and the classic scene where they dance and lip synch to the Song Loverboy is really fun to watch as well as the hungry eyes Sequence. I should also mention that there is a sub Plot in the Film where a Girl at the Camp gets pregnant and she unfortunately gets a Abortion.
However it is all implied and does not affect the viewing experience. I would absolutely recommend that everyone views this Movie at least once if you love classic Hollywood Films.
