Review of Dirty Beautiful (2015) by Maria M — 10 Aug 2018
Dirty Beautiful by Tim Bartell is a love story and a cautionary tale at the same time.
Watching this story, I remembered the psychological Dictionary For Dreamers by Tom Chetwynd. Simply put, personal development can follow a good or negative scenario for the person and each person goes through all of them in different periods of their life (it is a kind of a system). Kat is going through the "bad girl" period of her life. Finally, she understands that the word "home" has a meaning, and chooses a different way of her personal development. The main character went through his "bad period" (Tom Chetwynd calls it "shadow archetype") and choose to come back to the right track. They are different but they are together because both of them had bad experience with different people before. Subconsciously, both of them are looking for the right person.
I like the composition of the movie. It starts from the seashore and at the end we see the same landscape, but with completely different meaning.
Acting is good. I like Jordan Monaghan. She is a definitely talented actress.
If you are parents you have to watch it. Good parents mean happy and successful children and vice versa. It is very important.
