Review of Direct Contact (2009) by Cyber P — 17 Nov 2009
Dolph Lundgren just won't quit will he. I mean like every single year, this guy releases a lot of direct to dvd action films, and they all suck. I have to commend him though, for still working, and still going strong. But "Direct Contact" really does have to be one of the worst that I've seen.
This plot is simple, get the girl, save the girl. That's all you need to know. As I was watching this movie, it was pretty obvious that the film editing team just didn't care about the end result. Why do I think this? Because if you look at transitions from one scene to the next, it looks as if a high schooler made it. There countless continuity errors in this movie, and it's really frustrating to watch. Maybe my copy was a bit messed up but it seemed like there was a problem with the audio overs, they sounded completely messed up. I don't think it was my copy.....
The acting in this movie is sickening, and that's no surprise. The script is terrible, the acting is terrible, the delivery sucks, and it's just a complete mess. There really isn't anything more to say about that.
But the one reason this movie isn't getting half a star is because I was SLIGHTLY impressed with some of the car chases. I felt like some of them were filmed well for a direct to dvd film. But that's about the only nice thing I can say about "Direct Contact".
The Main bad guy (forget his name): "I got a lot of money Mike! and I'll give it to you!".
Mike Riggins: "You won't live long enough!".
.....(Has to be one of the worst lines ever)........nice Dolph....
