Review of Dinosaur (2000) by J-Man 24 — 26 Jul 2008
No one would have believed that Disney would be so desperate as to challenge its superior, Pixar, to a game of chance with this lame all-CGI flick that thrives on eye candy and bothersome talking lemurs.
With Discovery Channel special effects that wouldn't even make Jurassic Park bat an eyelash, this conventional lizard exercise follows a peacemaking Iguanodon that is adopted by a clan of incredibly naive lemurs.
Lemurs that wouldn't even be able to separate a boulder from a pebble. While living in peace on a seemingly isolated strip of land, his world is literally shaken when an atomic-like meteor shower forces them to migrate to a different settlement.
Here, we meet up with an anxious herd of slow paced dinosaurs that are seeking to begin life anew in paradise. Pleasant enough for very young children who are unaware as to how these creatures really thrived in their lifetime, but overall it seems as if you are viewing a bland, extended episode of National Geographic.
