Review of Dinosaur (2000) by Tarawa R — 08 Jun 2014
A little story of my own creation - it's only skeleton concepts:
The nesting ground is called "FOB Haven", a forward operating base run by the Architect's Consortium. It is a place set up to be a habitat for Aladar and the herd, and it is not on Earth - it is on a different planet. While the migrant herd marches for the nesting ground, unbeknownst to them, the asteroid had already destroyed it. The Haven is a near replica of the nesting ground - with only the exception of the sealed valley (Eema noticed it). The cave tunnel serves as a gateway to the place. It is out of sight, undisturbed by Architect's rivals, and the Haven has all the exterior protections to defend against natural disasters: Its barrier can holdout against several meteorite strikes, and its orbital Overwatch Cannons can destroy the meteorites long before they hit. A safe haven for Aladar and his Cretaceous crew to survive and thrive.
