Review of Dinner Rush (2000) by Richard B — 26 Dec 2009
DR made my "top ten" for the 1st decade of the century. The movie provides drama, a splash of sarcastic humor particular to New York and a satisfying display of street justice. One weak link in the plot: the detective's wife would have testified that Gary, the accountant, blocked her way to the downstairs bathroom.
However, if we assume that the detective is indifferent to a "typical mob killing," the case would not be investigated. Hence, it becomes a cold case, and we have a happy ending.
