Review of Dinner for Schmucks (2010) by Michael G — 08 Oct 2011
Of course, the funny never stops. Here's a film that supposedly happens in the real world, but the characters come from a completely different one. I have to hand it to whoever write this slop, it doesn't have many cliches.
But that's a little unfortunate because cliches are at least routed in some kind of sense. It's obvious enough that everything is going to work out for this cooky bunch in the end, so maybe it does offer one very big cliche after all.
I just love the line when Julie finally says, "I'll come by to pack up my things." Yeah, sure you will. No, this is what's going to happen: you and Tim are going to make up, roll credits.
