Review of Dinner for Schmucks (2010) by Jillian L — 02 Feb 2012
My biggest problem with this movie? Itâ(TM)s not really about the dinner. Itâ(TM)s about Barry ruining Timâ(TM)s life. In this two hour movie, the dinner doesnâ(TM)t even happen until like the last half hour.
And, the dinner was the funniest part. Every other time I was bored and annoyed at everyoneâ(TM)s idiocy. Paul Ruddâ(TM)s character was one of the only redeemable characters in the movie. And you end up feeling bad for Barry, who is glad he won the best idiot of the night award.
This was not laugh out loud, it was chuckle a few times. My advice? skip this one. Even Jeff Dunhamâ(TM)s 10 seconds of ventriloquism isnâ(TM)t worth it.
