Review of Dinner for Schmucks (2010) by Our L — 01 Apr 2012
Both of these comedic actors are good at what they do. A good portion of what you see is often improvised, which I really respect, even if it's vulgar and childish. I've only seen this twice, but I liked it better the 2nd time around.
Steve Carell's character is hard to handle, but in a way that I seem to enjoy. Some annoying characters are actually unpleasant, but his version is just blunt, clueless, innocent and abrupt enough to keep me laughing while I was cringing.
The comedy is absurd, along with the characters, so I felt right at home. Easy on the brain and the funny bone, if you have one...
