Review of Dinner for Schmucks (2010) by Roni A — 14 Jun 2012
Carell, Rudd and Galifanakis are hilarious in this badly-titled, too-long, but in parts side-splitting comedy. Even Jermaine Clement is very funny. Stephanie Szostak is a beautiful new face to me. The premise of the film is weird, and it's hard to imagine that someone actually sat down and thought this thing up.
My favorite thing was trying to imagine all the outtakes that must have occurred. This film is so stupid, but the actors/comedians so top-notch that when dellvering their inane lines with straight faces, there's no way they didn't bust up laughing a million times before wrapping.
The three stars are for that.
