Review of Dinner for Schmucks (2010) by Onofre R — 07 Sep 2013
Silly first, mean-spirited second or vice versa, depending how you choose to see it [doesn't make a difference; just says more about us]. In either case it's a missed opportunity in which likeable actors show off their worst possible personas for almost two annoying hours.
Playing on the small screen, it's just plain fodder but I cannot imagine anyone wasting the big bucks for the full cinema experience. This remake of a French 'classic' is actually dumber in execution than its purportedly dumb characters.
I can go on but let's just say that I'd be discussing a film not so worth discussing. Schmucky indeed.
