Review of Dinner for Schmucks (2010) by Caleb L — 09 Aug 2011

Dinner for Schmucks is a laughless movie, until the last 25 minutes or so. The plot itself is actually quite mean and crude, and I found it hard to laugh at any of the jokes they were doing. Steve Carell is very unfunny, and actually annoying in the movie, as well as Zach Galafanakis.

Rudd does an okay job, while the supporting cast is practicically useless. Now let's get to the dinner scene. The dinner scene is quite funny, featuring people we did not see through the course of the movie.

Also, the scene is quite touching, but a bit cheesy as well. With that being said, that scene along can't save this movie from being a mean, unfunny, "bromance". 4.4/10.
