Review of Dinner for Schmucks (2010) by Sean K — 20 Oct 2012

Well, the trailer mislead me and I thought that the dinner would have taken place about midway through. Instead we are taken on a crazy/ easily unbelievable trip until the final twenty minutes when the dinner is presented and the laughs finally come.

I found one part hilarous (when the stalker woman appears and Carrel plays out a little game with her, comical) but found most of the movie to fall flat, become so inexplicably implausable, and just out right not funny that I was about to give up on the film altogether until the dinner came.

Thankfully the dinner was worth the showing but I found only a few laughs throughout. Funny premise, just not executed as well as it should have been. Rental if your looking for some goofy, yet, unbelievable fun on and off.
