Review of Dinner for Schmucks (2010) by Scott G — 09 Oct 2011
The problem with this film is nt thats its bad, in fact its entertaining and of course funny, at least untill the schmucks dinner of the title, that is a bit of a misfire, and shows how film really doesent make sence, but the first hour and a bit or so is a riot, very funny, all thanks to steve carrell, he is great here as the schmuck paul rudd, takes on and uses, so he can take him as his embaressing guest, but carell turns tables before dinner and makes his life hell, screwing up his life and chances with his misses, some amazing pieces f comedy help it along greatly, rudd plays straight here, with his thing that he does, and you dont really feel for him, and carells embaressing hobby, to be hnest isnt that silly, in fact its very creative, so that could have changed some what, overall though carell proving hes indeed a comedy talent.
