Review of Diner (1982) by Alison P — 04 Jul 2008
Considering this movie came out the week before I was born, it has surprisingly remained a social voice of commentary of smalltown 1950s. I don't always enjoy Barry Levinson, but I enjoyed this one enough, mostly due to Ellen Barkin.
It made me want to go to a diner (if we really had those in Florida) and get a nice basket of fries and a cherry cola.
I really like ensemble cast, dialogue-driven films, so if you find yourself in that position, you will probably like Diner.
