Review of Diner (1982) by Byron B — 21 Jan 2009
I love this film. It's so successful in creating a believeable group of friends who clearly have a great history and understanding. Add to this some brilliant exerior circumstances that affect the group (marriages, education etc.
) that are life changing but when the guys are together purely coincidental. The actors are great, Rourke in particular in his best pre-Wrestler performance; charming and cheeky but wise. Recommended to anyone who likes a nice ensemble coming-of-age movie.
