Apart from some old 80's classics that remain favorites for nostalgic reasons, this movie has yet to be replaced as being the best of Bollywood that I have seen. It still remains the gold standard for me.
This movie in many ways redefined Bollywood cinema and raised the bar in terms of story telling and cinematography. Even the songs were carefully crafted and scored. An excellent movie - Bollywood or otherwise.
