Review of Digging for Fire (2015) by Craig F — 09 Sep 2015

Well, first of, its a really slow movie. With the kind of cast it flaunted (Sam Rockwell, Anna Kendrick and Brie Larson), I was expecting some good old-fashioned boisterous humor. Cast was a major factor which lured me in. With Pitch Perfect (Kendrick) and Trainwreck (Larson) fresh in memory, I expected some real comedy. But that didn't happen.

The story chugged along until it whimpered to an end.

At least they could've shown discovery of some secrets from the exhumation. Maybe a culprit being brought to justice. That wouldn't have changed the essence of story- unraveling relationship, parenthood and philosophical churning. I waited till finish only to see the outcome of digging! It was banal...
