Review of Diggers (2007) by Matt R — 04 Jun 2008
Another funeral bringing friends and family together movie. This movie is dull and doesn't have too much to offer. Paul Rudd's character is bare and boring. They make him this clam digger who wants to be a photographer who meets a woman who doesn't want to be with a clam digger. It's not a very interesting story and more gets in the way of the better stories of the movie. The best part of this film is Ken Marino. The movie should have been based on his character and the rest being his friends. He can be versatile when it comes to comedy and drama, he balances them well.
I wouldn't recommend this movie because if you've seen Garden State there's no real point in seeing this movie. They deal with a lot of the same situations. Only reason to see Diggers is for Ken Marino.
Next time, you drive the van.
