Review of Died Young, Stayed Pretty (2008) by Mike M — 01 Aug 2009
Well intentioned but overlong experimental documentary about the world of underground rock poster art. Although I admired the visual ideas that went into how the work was presented, I feel that the perspective was too limited by only having interviews with the artists and not showing the impact of the work has on their subjects or intended audience.
Edited a bit tighter "Died Young Stayed Pretty" would've made an interesting short film but it seems that it was dragged out to be a feature documentary.
