Review of Die, Monster, Die! (1965) by Glenn B — 17 May 2008
Scared the whizz out of me when I was a wee one: especially the scene with the awful melting head of Freda Jackson. It is one of two pretty mundane H. P. Lovecraft films by Daniel Haller who if I recall was an art director for Roger Corman at one point.
DMD! has its moments but is ultimately a fairly pedestrian rendition of Lovecraft's "The Colour out of Space." One of Boris' later films. Nick Adams is pretty bad.
