Their are many reasons why this sequel is the best of the lot.
-Connection to the first movie.
-A new location with it's own personality.
-Samuel L. Jackson and Jeremy Irons doing what they do best.
-A competent and exciting script (aside from a stock 3rd act).
-John McTiernan directing.
To me, this is the only and definitive Die Hard sequel. Exciting, funny, and never fails to entertain.
