Review of Die Hard: With a Vengeance (1995) by Sylvester K — 12 Feb 2013
It's the most fun-packed entry in the trilogy of films.
McClaine is down in the dumps this time around with his suspension and marriage gone.
A new foe of an old enemy from the past makes his way into the city and starts causing mayhem and destruction.
McClaine has no choice but to team up with Carver to solve several riddles in order to prevent any more explosions putting civilians in danger.
Willis and Jackson are quite an ensemble on-screen duo constantly going at each other's throats while also trying to put aside their prejudice and indifferences.
They still manage to get the job done.
Jeremy Irons is a pretty suave and smooth adversary but doesn't quite hold a candle to Alan Rickman from the 1st movie.
The action is dazzling, great chase scenes, gunfights and it is a serious race against time which makes it really heartpounding and suspenseful.
And of course other side characters are just simply side characters.
The real excitement lies with the two leads.
