Review of Die Hard: With a Vengeance (1995) by Justin Z — 16 Oct 2011
Well made and has its moments, but easily the weakest of the series. It is less ludicrous than 2, but it feels less fun because of a lack of direction to the story. The villain's motives are kind of confusing and he himself is not nearly as menacing as Rickman from the first film despite being played by the great Jeremy Irons.
Samuel L. Jackson is good enough as the sidekick and there is a good enough cast supporting Willis. Sadly, the action is surprisingly flat in comparison to the epic action from the first two movies and it slows the momentum just enough to make it drag a little.
The ending was pretty much unsatisfying too. Still a good production, but not my go to film for Die Hard.
