Review of Die Hard 2 (1990) by Moneeb A — 02 Sep 2012
The weakest of the Die Hard films mostly because it has the weakest and least interesting villain, Die Hard 2 gets by on the same things that made the first one so fantastic: John McLane's cool head, hot mouth, and sheer resolve. It's also packed the same sort of disdain for cops and journalists that gave the first film its sense of humor. And despite liking it less than the two films after it, I do love the nostalgia factor that this film has thanks to two stylistic elements that were abandoned in later films: the confined atmosphere (this time an airport) and the Christmas theme.
Watch for a barely-there cameo by John Lequizamo.
