Review of Die Hard 2 (1990) by Matt L — 08 Jan 2013
This movie tried to recreate the spontaneity of the first film. John was put in a random situation (although one in which he again is trying to get to his wife) and the unthinkable happens, he sticks his nose into a huge terrorist scandal. My only problem with the writing of this movie - and this problem is rampant throughout the plot, is that everyone else but John and the bad guys know what's going on. Every other policeman is an idiot. Also, some of the stunts just seemed more ridiculous and over the top.
They tried too hard to recreate the magic of Die Hard.
