I'm just gonna get this out of the way right now. This is not as good as Die Hard. Don't go into this film expecting something that'll out do the original, because this one just isn't as good.

With that out of the way, I still had a pretty good time watching this movie. The film returns to the world of John McClane two years after the events of the first film. He's waiting at Dulles Airport near Washington D.

C. to pick up his wife for the holidays. However, terrorists are making a plan to take over the airport, seizing control of the radio frequency from the control tower to bring down as many planes as they want until their demands are met.

Now John McClane must stop them before thousands of people die huge bursts of fiery explosions. As John says in this movie, "How can the same shit happen to the same guy twice?" Die Hard 2: Die Harder has tons of thrills, chills, and action sequences that will keep the viewer entertained throughout its 2 hour runtime.

Once again, Bruce Willis NAILS the role of John McClane. His quippy one-liners are always the best part of these films and create comic relief for what could've been an action film taken too seriously.

However, unlike the first film, he doesn't seem to be able to use his one-liners much in the film because he's not taking on the bad guys by himself anymore. This creates the first problem for the film.

There were times when it looked like Bruce Willis didn't have a lot of space to be the star of the film. The cast was just way too big and too many people were helping out. Also not working for the film was the pacing.

While the original film was paced greatly by starting slow to get character development and then full speed ahead, Die Hard 2 kind of does the opposite. The first action scene starts about 15 minutes into the film and then starts to slow down after awhile.

Granted there were some cool explosions and kick-ass action scenes, but it just wasn't at a great pace because it would just slow down at certain points. If you loved the first Die Hard film, see this movie.

It's not as great as the first film, but there's enough there to keep you entertained.
