Review of Die Hard (1988) by Peter P — 10 Jul 2013
This is the action movie that changed what a movie action hero could be. Bruce Willis is terrific as John McClane, the cop in the wrong place at the wrong time who does the right thing even though its hard and he is tired, and yet still is up for wise cracking while doing it.
Alan Rickman is an incredible villain, heartless yet well spoken, and their walkie talkie back and forth is perfect. This movie basically has it all, action, humor, drama, and one of the best hero characters in the last 30 years.
All in all, a perfect action movie which changed Bruce Willis life, and set the tone for action films for years to come.
