Review of Die Hard (1988) by Coolcatpat7 B — 29 Jun 2014
Die Hard, the first installment in the beloved action franchise, is packed with thrilling action sequences and practical stunts. It is well-directed and Bruce Willis is fine as John McClane, but the movie itself derails quite often.
Too many dumb characters, unnecessary subplots, flat jokes, and some dramatic moments that don't suit the tone. Action junkies will get what they want, but others might be slightly disappointed.
