(2002) Die Another Day.
ACTION/ ADVENTURE.
Last of the pre-campy James Bond movies before a reinvention happened starring the all too serious Daniel Craig's Casino Royale. Self- explannable plot which centers on Bond successful interception of nuclear arms set up by the actions of a young radical North Korean General's son and his side kick. Once captured and tormented in a North Korean prison, Bond(Pierce Bronsmon) then gets traded back to the UK/ USA relations and at the same time finds out that the North Korean General's son is somehow still alive and is continuing his plans on destroying all of North Koreans enemies by creating a front by donating millions to charity and at the same time funding an all too powerful laser energy solared by the sun. A very entertaing blend of action and gadgets with gorgeous icy scenery regardless how much CGI they used.
Another Bond film that took liberty into the character by first showcasing him being tortured inside a North Korean prison before escaping from a US Navy ship soughting for retribution. He then swims into the waters of Hong Kong and proposes his duries working for the Chinese government by ging after the North Korean perpetrators that bombed a part of China who're of course Zhao, the North Koreans dictators generals son. One of my favorite scenes is when Bond comes out of the water with some used pajamas looking all unshaven dirty and wet, walks into one of Hong Kong's most extravagant hotels with absolutley no care about what others thought about his appearance and requests for the grand suite- the clerk at the desk then tries to get rid of him by asking him questions until the manager recognizes him and steps in and orders the clerk to give him the best one which is the Presidential suite. The next scene has Bond finishing shaving which that scene alone is so sauve similar to how one might see from a shaving commerical. commericial.
3 out of 4.
