Pierce Brosnan had the unfortunate task of being one of the Bonds between the fun camp of Sean Connery and the darker tones of Daniel Craig. Brosnan's Bonds were neither here nor there, but just mindless action.
However, Die Another Day is one of the more fun Bond films during that era. Plus it has Madonna in one of her more convincing roles! However, Halle Berry has had better moments than ones here.
