Review of Dick Tracy (1990) by Michael W — 10 Feb 2013

Told on a stylistically inventive, interesting, and thematically appropriate backdrop, Dick Tracy is a reasonably entertaining success. Madonna steals the show - wow. Even with that platinum blonde hair she looks amazing in every single scene, and succeeds completely as an actress.

I think that as a film Dick Tracy accomplishes that which it set out to do. It takes a minute to get going and shouldn't be taken too seriously throughout, but the story is there, with a twist of mystery, and all things considered makes for an enjoyable ride.
