Review of Diary of the Dead (2007) by James S — 04 Apr 2009
Really just another zombie movie that manages to have a twist to it on how it was made. But all the handheld movies are getting old and are basically the same thing everytime.
The characters are just there to get eaten and you don't feel anything for them because you don't get to know them in anyway.
The acting wasen't ever really bad though, I can give it that, just wasen't anything to get my attention.
The story is decent, but the handheld camera idea is the only thing that stopped this from being just another stupid movie that's on the Sci-Fi Channel on Saturdays. But towards the end it feels like he has people make dumber choices so they can get killed off finally.
If you like Romero and zombie movies then you might get something cool out of this.
"If it didn't happen on camera, it's like it didn't happen, right?".
