Review of Diary of the Dead (2007) by Mckenna L — 14 Apr 2009
In the vein of Blair Witch Project and Cloverfield this film takes you on a journey via a hand camera when the world falls apart due to the rise of flesh eating zombies. The characters may have been scared because "they didn't know what was going on" but we (the audience) were not particularly - this zombie stuff has been done before.
Despite some corny (and poor) acting the film was moderately entertaining and even funny (silly) in parts. Thankfully the camera didn't jolt around too much (I'm looking at you Cloverfield). The movie started to get a bit repetitive near the end, I think George Romero ran out of plot. He has definitely done better stuff than this.
