Review of Diary of the Dead (2007) by Paul Janssen D — 19 Feb 2010
This is NOT a zombie movie but a social critique... but then again, that's just Romero :-D.
Anyway, aside a ton of silly situations, even more completely illogic ones, Romero endlessy rubbing it in zombies need to be slow,.... I kinda liked it.
Far below 'Dawn...', a tad below 'Land...' but most certainly far better then 'Day...'.
For the ones who love Romero zombies and have seen his other ones.
Major flaw imo: the 'handheld camera' trick is not well used, especially compared to Blair Witch, Rec and Cloverfield... those movies used it to it's fullest potential and by doing so created a creepy/disturbing atmosphere without using (almost) any blood!
