Review of Diary of the Dead (2007) by Tiberio S — 18 Oct 2011
Why did Romero take the literal route? Why does he seem to take himself so seriously all of a sudden? Why are we watching The Dead emerge from the beginning in modern times? Did he negate 'the beginning' of events from Night of the Living Dead in his mind and randomly start over in the least interesting of ways? Did Romero even direct this film? The only piece of Romero's humor remaining is his association of violent media - car chases, LA riots, protests gone wrong, etc.
- with the events of zombie-takeover. Nothing really grabbed me... the last thing you want when paying for zombie terror!
