Review of Diary of the Dead (2007) by Henry F — 18 Apr 2014
I think I'm just mostly surprised the film wasn't an angry anti-modern technology rant by an old coot . . . In fact Romero demonstrates understanding of that technology and a desire to seriously examine how it has changed society.
The horror genre seems as good a place as any for that kind of study, it's just too bad that Romero's more high minded notions come at the expense of everything else in this movie.
