Review of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days (2012) by Kyle B — 06 Aug 2012
Best film in the ...Wimpy Kid series so far. These flicks actually seem to get better and better with each new chapter. If there is a part four next year, I'm pretty sure it will take place in junior high.
Part one was the foundation that set up the Greg Heffley character. Part two further explored the relationship between Greg and older brother Rodrick. Now in part three, Greg and Rodrick have maintained a healthy relationship as brothers who got each other's backs and the focus is the relationship between Greg and his father. This was actually a powerful film about the destructive power of a pack of lies, not just for the believers, but for the liars too. It's also a film about the bond between father and son.
Go see this flick; best film in the series so far. My grade: A.
