The third (and hopefully last) sequel to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid franchise is here. I think the writers of the last movie realized that making Greg bond with someone gave the last movie had a premise, so in this movie, he bonds with his dad.
It's the same thing, just with a father-son bond, basically.
