Review of Diana (2013) by David S — 16 Jan 2014
Never an easy task, to make a movie on a high-profile, over-exposed subject. 2013 is still too early for a 'warts and all' expose, and the critics/demonisers/knockers/moaners will all want to be satisfied or vindicated.
So in the circumstances 'Diana' is an excellent film. It records for posterity an iportant, and much-negelected, element of the scenario, viz the role of the Pakistani Doctor in the whole tragedy. The peoples' princess is shown to be a normal girl with normal needs& desires, and a strong compassionate side, who brought some normality to the ridiculous charade which is the British Monarchy. And itt's genuinely entertaining.
