Review of Diamonds Are Forever (1971) by Robert M — 11 Aug 2008
Sean Connery returns as James Bond in "Diamonds Are Forever," but it's not his best Bond film. It was an even worst book. Charles Gray is excellent as Blofeld and Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd, the homosexual killers, are fun to watch.
I really like the bit with the Playboy club card. Nice touch. The plot is thin, but there was nothing to work with from the beginning. "Diamonds Are Forever" is the weakest entry in the series of novels.
Still, it's Connery Bond film.
